Installation Options

Installation of Cox High Speed Internet is easy. Our experts can professionally install your service or you can self install using the Cox Fast Connect Kit. Whatever you choose, you will start enjoying incredibly fast, easy Internet access right away.

During a Professional Install, the cable technician will install the cable modem and software on your PC. An adult must be present during this installation, as there are license agreements, an Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service information that must be explained.

Self Installation, using the Fast Connect Kit, allows you to conveniently and easily set up High Speed Internet service while saving you money at the same time.

To self install you must be able to complete these tasks in order to qualify:

• Have an active cable outlet in the room you’d like to install Cox High Speed Internet
• Have a Cox Compatible Cable Modem. Modems are available for purchase from Cox ($60)
• Customer computer must meet minimum requirements
• Install coaxial cable from active outlet to cable modem
• Have an installed Ethernet port or have an available USB port
• Follow prompts to install the Cox High Speed Internet software from the CD-ROM

You must live in an area that is Cox High Speed Internet serviceable, and you must have an active cable outlet in a room where your computer will be located.
