With that in mind, it's easy to see why diversity is of fundamental importance to Cox. It's part of our value system. And it's also part of our corporate business strategy. When we work to understand, involve and meet the needs of all of our stakeholders, then we're a wiser, stronger company. We ensure that we offer the products, services and opportunities that people want. And we remain the kind of company that people want to do business with. That commitment led us to establish four distinct areas in which we work to ensure diversity: employment, products and services, community relations, and supplier and vendor development. We also created a Diversity Council, which provides direction, motivation and attention to ensuring that we are on the right track toward meeting our diversity goals. Their varied perspectives, unique ideas and constant focus are helping us ensure that diversity is not merely a buzzword at Cox, but an integral part of the way we do business and an ongoing process that we continually work to improve. Cox’s diversity initiatives are helping us connect to more people every day. That’s our goal, and that’s good for all of us – customers, employees, suppliers and communities.
